Driving down Route 6 into Great Barrington, the meadows open up like a quiet painting. Puffy reeds sway in the breeze, and beneath them, a hidden marsh breathes life into the land. Frogs croak, birds dart through the reeds, and all sorts of creatures make their home in this wild, soft world that feels untouched by time.
Lions Gate:
Most visitors don’t see Tanglewood this way—in winter, cloaked in quiet and gold. The hill here is a local treasure, where the cold doesn’t bite so much because community warms the air. It’s a place to play, to watch the sun dip slow behind the trees, and to feel the stillness that makes winter feel alive and full.
