This Hancock Shaker Village print is rooted in the kind of moments that stay with you long after the day is over — the small interactions, wandering animals, and quiet nostalgia that seem to live naturally within the grounds.
XB packed this piece full of the details that made our visits feel so memorable: Ms. Olive Oil and her piglets, Pepper — the tail-less cat who slowly adopted us around the Round Stone Barn — goats leaping through the fields, and the constant feeling that something unexpected was always about to wander into view.
Rather than focusing only on the historic buildings themselves, we wanted the artwork to capture the warmth and movement of being there. The sounds of animals nearby, kids running through the grass, little details like the hair bobbles on the young girl — small touches that somehow make the whole scene feel familiar, lived in, and timeless.
There’s a softness to Hancock Shaker Village that kept pulling us back. A reminder of simpler rhythms, slower days, and the kind of experiences that feel increasingly rare to stumble upon.
Through the silkscreen process, we leaned further into that warmth — layering the artwork by hand to give the piece texture, depth, and a slightly nostalgic feel that mirrors the atmosphere that inspired it.

Shipping Details ‼️
We’ll be shipping these prints slightly rolled up in a tube — the most efficient way to mail them, ensuring no damaging bending or tearing. Because we use watercolor paper instead of traditional printmaking paper, our artwork is more durable, making it ideal for our bus-lifestyle. Once you receive your print, just unroll it and let it relax out of the tube. If there’s any curling, a couple of heavyweight books will do the trick!
