During our Blog Bus journey in 2019, we stopped at a small roadside shack in Virginia serving Mexican food with a Southern twist — simple, vibrant, and full of unexpected warmth. That blend of cultures, flavor, and hospitality stuck with us and became the foundation for this piece, translated into a single moment of color and feeling. Like much of our work from this time, it was shaped by constant movement, shared meals, and the places you only find by slowing down on the road.
