Definitely on my list of the coolest places I have ever been. They have a very small but delicious menu filled with things like fried brussel sprouts, which me and my friends inhaled. The food is just the beginning of what really makes this place so great. Hands down their drinks are their speciality. Mixing up classic cocktails like the sazerac, old fashions and manhattans, these expertly crafted drinks go down smooth and easy. And if that wasn't enough, all of a sudden a live Jazz band began playing right above us.
Perched above in a theater-like balcony the band was able to play without getting in the way of foot traffic. It was easy to watch the band and hear them clearly, but it was also quiet enough to carry on a conversation with the people around you. The atmosphere was dark but inviting, very reminiscent of a classic speakeasy. This is one of my favorite places, and whenever I am back in San Francisco, i'm going to Comstock Saloon.
